Background

One could say that I have been a consultant my whole working life. It all started when I was 9 years old. I lived in Northern California and like a typical boy of that time in mid 90's I wanted to have a paper route. It took nothing short of several months of pestering the local distribution manager for a job at the first opening to get in. From there I was constantly honing my skills of communication and human interaction. I loved talking with my differing clients and learning about who they were. From delivering papers, to working in various customer service roles, I made strides in bettering my communication systems and skills.

When I was 18, I started working as a tradesman roofer and 4 years later I was licensed in California as roofing contractor at the age of 22. A year later I was licensed as a building contractor. Once again, I was using communication as a meas on employment. Further to this work, life took me to Australia. One of my roles in the 6 years of living in Australia was working as a counsellor, helping people quit smoking. The two years I spent doing this role taught me the use of Motivational Interviewing (MI). I use MI frequently as my means of communication today. It helps me speak directly and empathetically with people.

I have qualifications in Training and Assessing, Counselling, Mathematics and statistics. More than communication, I love to research and learn. These skills combined make me more than capable to handle and align any situation a client my have.
